My big Mac Pro at work is having an oddity. When it wakes from Sleep it will sometimes forget a slot of RAM. I've switched the two 4gb RAM sticks and the same slot forgets. So it's not the RAM itself.
Does anyone know if I can just swap the two processor cards and put the RAM in the other processor's first two slots without issue?

Dual 3ghz processors
8GB RAM (2x 4GB)
OS X 10.6.4
