I purchased a Kensington Universal Notebook Docking Station with VGA/DVI. I want to use it with my
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro4,1
I am on Mac OS 10.6.2. The Kensington device says it requires 10.5.5 or later.
I have tried it with a Bluetooth keyboard and with just the docking station. I close the lid and it will not wake up.
As I type this I am viewing the monitor and using the mouse connected to the docking station. I am using the bluetooth keyboard. But I have the laptop lid raised about an inch.
What step have a missed to make this all work? |

Yeah.. I found that first thing. Tried waking using a bluetooth keyboard when using a USB keyboard didn't work.
Just doesn't wake when the lid is closed. |

There are some applications to keep your make awake when the lid is closed.
InsomniaX
is the only one I know of, but other MM's may have more info since I don't use mine closed. |
