I purchased a Kensington Universal Notebook Docking Station with VGA/DVI. I want to use it with my
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro4,1

I am on Mac OS 10.6.2. The Kensington device says it requires 10.5.5 or later.

I have tried it with a Bluetooth keyboard and with just the docking station. I close the lid and it will not wake up.

As I type this I am viewing the monitor and using the mouse connected to the docking station. I am using the bluetooth keyboard. But I have the laptop lid raised about an inch.

What step have a missed to make this all work?

Yeah.. I found that first thing. Tried waking using a bluetooth keyboard when using a USB keyboard didn't work.

Just doesn't wake when the lid is closed.

There are some applications to keep your make awake when the lid is closed. InsomniaX is the only one I know of, but other MM's may have more info since I don't use mine closed.
