Belated "Happy New Year" to everyone!

I need a new mouse, present one beginning to play me up.

Would appreciate any advice with regard reliability/performance and price before I take the plunge. Normal computer usage with a little "gaming" when the children allow me.

Many thanks

I find Mighty Mouse very useful. I program the center button to scroll and, by pushing, to expose all open windows. Easy and useful. A brief description by Amazon: "It's the wired mouse that reinvents the wheel - the scroll wheel. The Apple Mouse features the amazing Scroll Ball that lets you move anywhere inside a document, literally without lifting a finger. And with touch-sensitive technology concealed under the seamless top shell, you can choose either the versatility of a four-button mouse or the simplicity of a single-button beauty."

I know others have found the Mighty Mouse a pain in the neck when it stops scrolling after a period of use. I get this, too. However, I turn the mouse upside down, and wipe the bottom vigorously with an absorbent cloth. Just for good measure I wipe the mouse pad, too. This fixes the problem and also seems to be a good preventative measure.
